About Artist :

Lin Fengmian (November 22, 1900- August 12, 1991) [2] [4], originally named Shao Qiong and Jian Sheng, later renamed Fengming, also known as Fengmian, was born in Meixian, Guangdong [1]. Chinese modern and contemporary painters and art educators [10]. His main painting works include "Egret", "Drunk in Berlin", "After a Storm", "Exploration", etc; His main works include "New Discussions on Chinese Painting" and "Collected Works of Lin Fengmian". [3]

Lin Fengmian enrolled in the Dijon Academy of Fine Arts in France in 1920, and later transferred to the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, where he studied art at various museums; In 1925, he served as the President, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Director of the Department of Western Painting at the National Beiping Art College; In 1927, he served as the Chairman of the National Art Education Committee and also created an oil painting called "Humanity"; In 1938, he was appointed as the Director of the National Art College; In 1951, he created works such as "Farewell My Concubine", "Farewell My Concubine", "Cosmic Feng", "Ma Mou and Zhang Fei", "Hong Niang and Yingying", "Sun Wukong Causes a Big Trouble in the Heavenly Palace", "Wu Song Kills His Wife", etc; In 1953, attended the Second National Congress of Literary and Artistic Workers; In 1960, he was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Artists Association; In July 1961, participated in the "Shanghai Flower and Bird Painting Exhibition"; In February 1963, the oil painting "Returning to the Boat" participated in a thematic oil painting sculpture exhibition held in Shanghai. In November, it participated in the Shanghai Famous Oil Painting Exhibition held in Hong Kong; In 1977, he moved to Hong Kong and in October, he held an art exhibition in Hong Kong; In June 1979, he compiled and published the "Lin Fengmian Painting Collection". In July, he held the "Lin Fengmian Painting Exhibition" at the Shanghai Exhibition Hall. In September, he held the "Lin Fengmian Painting Exhibition" at the Oriental Art Museum in Paris. In October, he was elected as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese Literature and Art Federation, a director of the Chinese Artists Association, and the chairman of the Shanghai branch of the Chinese Artists Association; In 1988, the "Lin Fengmian Painting Exhibition" was held at the Shanghai Art Museum; On August 12, 1991, he passed away in Hong Kong at the age of 91
