Offered is a mint in box, original circa 1940, "Kutto Special", box cutter or knife, made by the Modern Spec. Co., Chicago. It has a patent number from 1940, and is the only example I've seen without handles. This knife was a premium for Heinz Baby Food, which was being advertised in the Chicago Sun Times & Daily News. It's been boxed, & in one kitchen drawer or another for the last 80+ years. Has it's original blade, that's still sharp, and states, "write for blades". Only damage to note is slight wear on the round head of the tightening screw from sliding in the box. and writing on both sides of the box by past owners, warning there is a razor inside. Made of aluminum, so the only rust is a trace on the exposed section of the blade. It has sliding action. Push the thumb guard forward, slide the blade open, and pull the guard back to lock it. Reverse to close. Measures 6 1/4" long X about 1" wide.

I've been buying & selling here for over 20 years. Most of my items have been off the market, from estates or in personal collections for decades. They are guaranteed to be as described, and are often OOAK, especially as far as availability on eBay.
