Here is another unusual item – a square ceramic tile depictin King Arthur. This has been made in the style of stained glass and is taken from the King Arthur window at Wells Cathedral. It shows the King Arthur figuew, with spear and shield, in front of a lozenge decorated background and with two side panels in red and black which contain lion and crown symbols.

The detail shown in the whole piece is quite wonderful. It is housed in a black wooden frame, ready to be hung on a wall. It could also be used as a pot stand.

The piece measures about 6.75 inches (17 cm) square.

The rear of the item is a label which states: King Arthur, a detail from the King Arthur window at Wells Cathedral. Julia Longford Ceramics, N. Devon.

This would certainly an item of interest for any medieval era enthusiast.
