For sale is a vintage box set of a child's cup & bowl by Whittemore Associates, Inc. featuring glassware by Anchor Hocking Fire King. Titled as the Story Gift Box, the original packaging features a Bible story on each of the four sides supported with a scripture verse; instructions on the bottom of the box encourage cutting each side into a card to share and to keep. The white glass mug has a red imprint of children, animals and Jesus with text reading: "Bless this food, O Lord we pray. Make us strong from day to day." The bowl features additional artwork of children in daily activities with the text "When I sleep or eat of play / God cares for me both night and day."

Both dinnerware pieces are in very good vintage condition with no damage or wear; they appear unused. There are two small manufacturing blemishes on the the lip of the bowl: one is a solid white bump and the other is rough to the touch with a black mark in an area where the lip is slightly wavy (photograph 24). Both dinnerware pieces are impressed on the bottom with Anchor Hocking Fire King logo. Made in the USA.

The vintage box has some minor shelf wear including worn corners and small tear in top flap crease. A small water spot is on the bottom edge of the "A Handful of Meal" panel.
