This cut of briolette stone can be fragile at the tip.  The stringing hole is placed very close to the tip so care must be taken to not break off this sharp tip.  A close-up of the photos shows the placement of this hole.

These Teardrop jasper beads are more sturdy than some Briolettes.  The hole for stringing is set a little further from the tip (about 3mm).  All beads are a very rich dark brown color with a few showing some streaks or splotches of pale gray.  Looking closely characteristics of brecciated jasper can be seen.  This gives the beads a little more interest. 
The color of the actual beads is a little darker brown than in the photos above.
