Published by J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd., in 1927 and it is a reprint. This was first published in this series in 1921. It is part of “The Kings Treasuries of Literature” series, with the General Editor being Sir A. T. Quiller Couch. Printed in Great Britain at The Temple Press, Letchworth. 

"Julius Caesar" is a historical tragedy written by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written in 1599. The play dramatises the events surrounding the assassination of the Roman dictator Julius Caesar and the aftermath of his death. It is one of Shakespeare's most famous and frequently performed plays. 

There is no dust Jacket.  

This is an overall neat and clean copy of this book, which is tightly bound

The green cloth bound boards and spine of this book are intact and robust, and in a good state for nearly 100 years old. There is just light wear, which includes a little wear at the edges, soft bumping to the corners, and small marks (including a black mark on the front board). There is an embossed illustration on the front and there is gilt lettering and decorations on the spine. Please see the photographs which I have provided for further reference. 

Inside, the pages are lightly tanned, and they are in an overall neat and clean state, and predominantly uncreased. There is just the very occasional small mark or small fold on the pages. There are no rips to the pages. On the front pastedown there is a small pen inscription. However, there is no further pen or pencil written in this book. The pages are tightly bound and secure. There are no loose or missing pages. All 190 pages plus 2 pages to the rear, containing the publisher’s catalogue, are present. This measures approximately 15.2 cm by 11.5 cm and 1.3 cm wide. It weighs approximately 160 grams.
