I've had some requests for replacement cages, so I finally got around to making a few more sets of them.
The pedals are still SOLD OUT on the Helix BMX website and the cages are only available right here on eBay.
Get 'em while I've got 'em!
This is a brand new, reproduction set of Bob Reedy Ultimate Pro pedal cages made by Helix BMX. They are only available in a Silver (raw aluminum) finish. You can use them just as they are or send them out for anodize with your other aluminum restoration parts to be anodized any color you want.
The Helix BMX Reedy cages are MADE IN THE USA! They were reverse engineered from a brand new NOS (New Old Stock) set of original Bob Reedy pedals. They were computer modeled in 3D CAD to ensure exact dimensions and geometry for manufacturing. The cages are very precisely made to be an exact reproduction.
Each cage is discreetly marked with the year they were made in a very small spot that is completely covered by the pedal body (between 2 screw holes) once the cages are mounted.
A full set of sixteen (16) of the correct, phillips flat head machine screws in Stainless Steel is included!
The Bob Reedy pedals are some of the most sought after and most difficult to find vintage BMX pedals out there. They were greatest BMX racing pedals of their time (back in the early '80s).
Pretty much all original sets of Reedy pedals have thrashed or destroyed cages after 30+ years of BMX, just like the ones shown in the 2nd photo above. If you have a set of these pedals, or hope to find a pair someday, ...or if you have a set of Helix BMX Reedy pedals, this is a perfect opportunity to own a set of replacement cages.
It might also be a good idea to buy a spare set to save in case you damage your existing cages or if just want to change out the color at some point.
