This is for collection in person ONLY from Poole, Dorset. I do not have a buy it now price and will not end the auction early. I am not interested in trades.

This is a 1971 Fender Musicmaster Bass with all original parts. It has the rare factory-installed pearloid pickguard rather than the plain white one that most of these guitars had. The finish has some wear and tear but is still in good condition for its age. It is a darker red than it appears in the photos, the camera on my phone isn't very good.

It sounds great and plays very nicely with a low action. The neck is straight, the frets are in good shape and the truss rod works. The pickup and all of the electronics work fine. It is currently fitted with a set of GHS Precision flatwound strings which haven't seen much use. Overall this guitar is a very nice early example in one of the more desirable colours. Comes with a modern Burns gig bag. This is a VERY reluctant sale, this bass is incredibly fun to play.

Please let me know if you need any more info. Thanks!
