Original WWII German Army Hospital Enamel Wall Clock by EFKA

CREAM & BLACK

Mechanical - Not Operating

A genuine WWII German Army - Military Hospital Wall Clock - By EFKA.

And my research indicated EFKA were/are traditionally a German Manufacturer of Medical Instruments.

It originated from a military hospital in Austria - Where it was 'liberated' by a local family - when the buildings were vacated shortly after the war.

And acquired by me in 2006 - and always kept carefully - unused - in cool, dry, clean conditions.

This I feel is a really nicely patina-ed Deco-Modernist wall clock - with a kinda interesting back-story.

N.B. Please read the detailed Condition Description - which, with the detailed photos will give you all the information.

I believe it could easily be serviced/repaired and put back into use as a mechanical clock.

Nevertheless, I always assumed I would have the mech. replaced with a battery-operated unit (easy & cheap to do). And thereafter offering trouble-free (and quiet) time-keeping :   )

We've acquired quite a lot of vintage, incl. high street fashion, and household collectables for over the last 20 years. And we're looking to slim things down, as we're intending to move in late 2024

And, as we know the disappointment of receiving things that are not as presented, we'll be making every effort to describe things fully and honestly - whilst providing any further information we can.
