Relive the thrilling days of yesteryear with this classic vintage Allied Radio Knight Kit Ocean Hopper shortwave receiver, model 740.
This is a regenterative receiver that uses plug in coils. It includes original coils for 1.65 to 4.1mhz, 2.9 to 7.3mhz, and 7.0 to 17.5 mhz.
It uses three tubes and was only available in kit form. This one is in very nice condition with the front panel in near mint condition with good paint, crisp lettering, original knobs and clean chassis. As tested it produces audio into headphones (not included) but I did not hear any stations on the short wire used as an antenna.
Because of its age it is being sold as-is, no returns.
