Antique Edwardian Gibson Girl Blouse Shirtwaist Embroidered Eyelet Lace XS

This beautiful blouse (known then as a shirtwaist) is an original antique piece from the Edwardian era. It is constructed from a really pretty light ivory cotton muslin with embroidered eyelet lace and gorgeous scalloped edges. Both the collar and sleeves are trimmed in lace, but different types. I'm not great with my lace identification, but the lace on the sleeves looks like a French lace. The lace on the collar looks like a bobbin lace (but REALLY, I'm not a lace expert). This lovely blouse fastens with handmade mother-of-pearl buttons.

There are a few spots on the cotton, but they are small and not glaring. There are about 3 holes the size of of a pinhole in front that are very minor. Overall, this blouse has held up well over the years. There's one little area next to the buttons where the fabric looks like it is thinning, but it's still holding up.

Measurements conform to a contemporary size XS. Because every figure is different, please...
