The New Testament in Modern English by J.B. Phillips published by Macmillan Company, September 1959. Black leather/bounded leather cover. There is a slight odor that might be from ambient cigarette smoke or a wood-burning stove. I'm usually sensitive to cigarette smoke smell and I've smelled it several times and haven't had a strong reaction, but people may have a different levels of sensitivities.

Back cover has a small tear to the side and a smaller one to the bottom edge. A few dings on the first few pages. Otherwise, book appears in unread/lightly read very good condition. Tight binding and uncreased spine.
