Description
Offered is a very nice Royal Doulton Kingsware pitcher in the smaller size. This pitcher depicts Charles Dickens day dreaming about ten of the characters from his novels. These 17th century men in their powder wigs encircles the dreaming Dickens and the title of this piece, “Memories”, is on the other side.
This pitcher has the Doulton backstamp that was used between 1901 and 1922. It brings together the most common and well recognized designs; the famous interlocking ‘D’s’, the crown, the lion, and the roundel.
One of the most collectible Doulton wares today is Kingsware. Produced between 1898 and 1939, Kingsware was the creation of Charles Noke, and totally unique to Doulton. It used a technique that no other factory has managed to replicate ever since. The unique effect was achieved by painting the design in colored slips on the inside of the plaster mold, before adding the dark brown slip that would form the body of the piece.
Dimension/size – this little pitcher stands almost 4 3/4'” high. It is about 6” across at the handle and spout. It weighs about 14.3 ounces.
Condition – this pitcher is in very good antique condition with no chips cracks or restoration that we could find. There is some overall crazing. Please see photos.

Our preferred shipping method is USPS Priority Mail. We will also ship USPS Standard Post and First Class if available. Heavier items may ship via other methods. International Shipping: We do sell to international buyers in Canada, Australia and the UK currently. Please contact us prior to bidding if you are not certain you are eligible to bid/purchase. We can not complete the purchase if you are not eligible. We utilize USPS International Priority Mail and USPS International First Class when appropriate for all international purchases.
Import duties, taxes and other charges are not included in the price of the item or in the shipping cost. If we can't resolve the issue and agree the item will be returned, we will refund your purchase once the undamaged item is received back in the same condition and with the same or superior box and packing materials. Please do not wash or clean your item if you will be pursuing a refund as all items are discretely marked for security purposes. About Us
The Amazing Grace on eBay store was opened to assist us in selling the rather extensive estate of a friend's mother that we have "inherited". Sally collected a variety of things for many years and 95% of the over 1,200 treasures have been in storage for the last 20 years or more. From depression glass to Asian porcelain and carvings to Native American turquiose & silver jewelry, Sally was a very accomplished collector and even had numerous reference books that accompanied her collections. We have since expanded to also sell other "inherited" collections as well as estate and garage sale finds.
