I recently bought this on ebay, as I had several vhs tapes that I wanted digitized.   I chose this model because it has an HDMI output and I didn't have to find composite or s-video cables.    I also chose it because it was more recently built (2016) and was at least 5 years newer than most other options I found.   In my experience things like tape decks age poorly.

I unboxed it, reviewed the manual, plugged in a HDMI monitor and started dubbing vhs->dvd.     4 days later I am done, and the quality is as good as the original tapes (it doesn't perform any magic and improve an old tape).

The tape drive is quiet and this unit performs like new.

I am now offering this fully tested unit for somebody who has a similar task at hand.   Feel free to ask any questions.   It comes with the user manual, the quick start guide, and the remote (with fresh batteries).
