Vintage 1940's Armstrong Airway Archtop
Very good to Exc condition
Spruce top, maple sides and back
Maple neck with (probably Brazilian) rosewood fingerboard
Herringbone binding
This guitar was in the same family for at least 60 years
The guitar doesn't show much play wear, other than light lchecking on the finish, which is very common on old nitrocelulose lacquer finishes
It does have a rather long finish crack on the top half of the sides. Very stable, finish only. Possibly from an older neck reset. See pics for reference.
Great playing and sounding instrument
Just set up with high quality .11's
Nice action, fun to play
Early 1940's manufacture (Chicago, USA)
Includes non-original Guild semi hardshell case ('60s - '70s)
Will package very carefully for shipment
Thanks for looking
