Used across the West Midlands Rail network, the class 196 is now available. This kit contains x1 bodyshells, x1 chassis and x2 bogies. Please note that the model will require considerable work to complete and the builder will need to acquire/make; a source of power (i.e. mechanism from another DMU model or a powered bogie such as the Black Beetle), glazing, wheels, transfers and interior seating. This model has not been designed around a particular chassis and the model has been done as close to scale as possible, this does mean that you may want to modify the chassis/cab steps to allow the bogies to rotate more freely.
This is a resin 3D print with a fine surface quality. This can produce a good smooth surface but it is reccomended to give the model a coat of primer to highlight any imperfections and to smooth out print lines before starting the build.
