- · Most Luffa seedlings/plants will be around 4” (or slightly higher) in height.
- · For best results, plant within a day or two in container or directly into garden with a little shade protection to keep plant from afternoon sunburn.
- · Please make sure you are ready for your order in your zone as these young, tender plants generally have no resistance to cold.
- · If you need to delay planting for a few days, leave plants in their packaging and put them in a cool, shady place. Keep the roots moist and do not allow the plants to freeze or dry out.
- · All sales are final following the “NO RETURN, NO REFUND” policy with Live Plants.
This heirloom Loofah variety is very heat tolerant, fast growing.
The young Luffa fruit is eaten as a vegetable and is commonly grown for that purpose in tropical Asia, and the fully ripened fruit is strongly fibrous and is used to make scrubbing bath sponges. The reason I grow them. 😍
