Welcome to Barb & Claude's!

This unique piece sort of accidentally became mine. Let me explain. I purchased a boxed set of wall sconces and saw a wrapped piece inside the slightly torn box and thought it was a candle for the sconces. I almost threw it away. Then I realized it was really cool and pretty old, so here it is!

This is a piece for an antique gas lamp and would be the connector from the wall piece to the light fixture. The "key" turns smoothly even after all these years and it would actually be a super cool piece to put in a shadow box and hang on a gallery wall if you're like me and don't have an antique wall sconce! If you have a Victorian home and are keeping true to the decor era, this might be the conversation starter you didn't know you needed! I have an original key to all my 84 year old doors and it's hanging in a shadow box on my gallery wall. Such a cool idea!

If you are a steam punk creator, I think you can see all sorts of uses for this!
