For sale is a well preserved (original paint with patina) Peugeot PX-8 / UE-8 steel touring bike from the late 1960s - early 1970s.
The bicycle has been completely overhauled with all parts dismanteled, all bearings cleaned and greased and adjusted.
The wheels have been freshly rebuild using 700C aluminium Alesa made in Belgium rims laced to freshly polished and serviced Maillard hubs.
Maillard 5 speed freewheel is installed, and the Simplex shifters / derailleurs work smooth and do the job.
The CLB side pull brakes work well paired to the Atom brake levers which received new rubber hoods.
The original steel cottered pin crank set is innice condition and has been cleaned and the bottom bracket freshly serviced and adjusted.
The saddle is comfortable, relatively wide and has a small chip on its surface, but looks well on this bike. On request I can fit the bicycle with a different saddle
