As with our popular vice blocks, we found that there is just no need for a Fork seal Installation tool to cost £40 and be hard to get hold of, so we made our own!

Tried and tested on standard seals, SKF seals, and the new SKF Dual Compound Seals, which are an extra tight fit!

Use in line with your forks servicing instructions, slide your seal onto the tool, lightly lube the outside of the seal, align the seal nice and square, and then push by hand. If you can't seat it with your hand, tap it in with a soft mallet. Some seals go by hand. Some need a good bit of persuasion with the mallet.

In case you're wondering why our seal press isn't as long as other more expensive options, it's threefold: There is no functional benefit to extra length, it allows us to offer free postage, it will fit through your letter box.
