Item Title

Gibson Custom Shop Japan Limited Run 70S Flyingv Dot Inlay Maui Blue

Description

This '70's Flying V is a Japan-only order model in Maui Blue with matching head. The striking rounded head, truss rod cover with Gibson logo, and other features have been faithfully reproduced. The rounded neck shape contributes to a firm low-mid feel. The neck, which is naturally comfortable in the hand and has a firm grip, combines an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, energetic power, and playability. The solid mahogany body produces a tight and mellow traditional tone. The pickups are Gibson Custom Shop's "Super 74" pickups, a reproduction of the T-buckers of the 1970s that were the talk of the town when the Randy Rose LP CTM was released. You can enjoy the top end bell ringing. The original "T-Top humbucker" pickups were used from around 1968 to 1980, and were known for their sparkling, clear sound with a wide range of tones, even in the lower registers. The T-Top was used by Jimmy Page on his 1959 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst, and is highly regarded as one of the best guitars ever made. The Super 74 pickups are an exact replica of the T-Top and clean up beautifully with the simple turn of the volume knob, producing a pure tone with an amazing dynamic range at all decibel levels. The Super 74 pickups are extremely clear, with a beautiful balance of string separation, low midrange, and high frequencies, bringing out the full appeal of the guitar. The tone is characterized by a moderately firm midrange and a shimmering sense of separation without faltering, and it does not get buried even when distorted hard. It shows strong attention not only to appearance but also to sound.Weight: approx. 2.94kgCertificate of Authenticity and original hard case included.
