The Colnago designers had a difficult task when asked to improve on the V3RS, and some of the changes are nuanced at best. They have used an innovative carbon fiber lamination with the carbon layup varied throughout the frame to provide the best performance depending on what forces need to be withstood. So for instance, the T47 Bottom Bracket is oversized, to improve how responsive the bike is.

The head tube has been sculpted to improve its aero performance, and most importantly, Colnago has optimized the design around the CC.01 aero cockpit that we’ve already seen on the C68.
