In an instant of enlightenment, we knew how a simple (yet amazing) mixture of spices could so easily distract someone—Here’s the rub down... In developing our own version of similar seasonings already on the market, we wanted to avoid one pitfall we tasted time and again: Too much salt. Don’t mean to rub it in, but it seems we succeeded. Our spicy, smoky, salty, and sweet flavors all work together for a wonderfully earthy, aromatic, balanced result. Coffee, garlic, and paprika notes are right up front. These bold flavors are harmonized with brown sugar and salt. The taste-complexity is deepened another couple notches with the inclusion of onion, red bell pepper, and Clemengold Rind (the skin of a Nadorcott mandarin orange). Of course, the number one way to enjoy our Rub is to rub it (preferably significantly in advance)... on steaks, chicken, and fish. It also works as a seasoning (in small amounts) on veggies, baked potatoes, and pasta.
