This is a set of four matching antique/vintage American splat-back Windsor armchairs made by Nichols & Stone-one of the oldest furniture companies in the United States.

The chairs are 35 inches tall, 22 inches wide, and 17 inches deep.  They are beautifully crafted and made of Hard Rock Maple (I believe). According to information I found and later confirmed through appraisal, the chair's labels date them between 1907 to PRE-1930 and were produced in Gardner, Massachusetts. (see label pics)

One chair is missing a small piece of the splat back where it meets the seat (see pic), but does not affect its stability.  All chairs are sturdy and sit very comfortably with signs of normal wear.
