This antique wooden toy car is a one-of-a-kind piece of folk art, hand-carved with intricate detail. It was produced in Marquette, Michigan, USA during the time period of 1948 or 1949.


Toy car was crafted by prisoners in the Marquette prison in Michigan's upper peninsula. This sweet little racer was given to 3 year old Mike by his father. From an estate in Manistique, MI. Racer #50 is light green with white accents, faux leather seat, hand draw dashboard, missing a steering wheel.
