1872 Solid Silver Tea Caddy in an Oval Shape with Scalloped design.

Fully English Hallmarked.

Makers marks are worn but can still be seen with a loupe for Nathan & Hayes (George Nathan & Ridley Hayes), Birmingham, 1871.

A lovely little silver tea caddy with a good well fitting hinged lid with a torch style finial.

Condition is antique item in good condition, with a ding to the body (on the left side when viewed from the front, photos 7-9) and a minor ding to the base (photos 10 & 11). Minor age related wear including a small ding (photo 12), much less than would be considered commensurate.

Measurements approximately:

Height to the top of the finial: 12.5cm (5”)

Height to the top of the lid: 10cm (4”)

Width: 11cm (4. 1/4”)

Depth back to front: 8.5cm (3. 1/3”)

Weight: 196g
