Antique bronze statue of a rearing horse by Piotr Karlovich Clodt von Jurgensburg  1805 - 1867.  He was known as Pyotr Karlovich Klodt in Russia and was the favourite of Nicholas 1 of Russia.  He is famous for his horse bronzes.  Nicholas remarked of Klodt, 'that he created horses finer than any prize stallion'.  

The bronze is in superb condition.  Size 33 cms wide, 19 cms deep and 43 cms high.  It is extremely heavy and is offered for collection only, there is no postage.   Couriers are welcome but once the bronze leaves it is the responsibility of the buyer and their courier.  All packaging materials are to be provided by the couriers.
