Actual photos coming very soon. Now in good used condition, it got a 2nd life with my kid so I took the listing down but it kept auto-relisting. We've removed some stickers (Pokemon, I think!) that show the paint has sun-bleached in one area (don't know how, it's hardly been outside) but in actuality it's now got a custom paint job! All original parts available. I can build the bike in the mode you need (balance, starter, growing) and save you the time. You'll only need to put the front wheel back on.
Starts as a Balance bike with optional brakes to build confidence. Then, when your kid is ready add the pedals, brake(s) and belt drive. There's no apprehension caused by an unfamiliar (new) pedal bike. As your toddler grows so can the bike in length and height and new chain gear to travel faster. This is 3 bikes in one. Save money over 2 bikes, let alone 3!
All aluminium with no chain and oil means no rusting or rotting if left out in the rain.

The superlight PINTO weighs in at less than 6kg, and features our EPOK™ growing technologies that make it the ultimate bicycle for your child to learn to ride easily, quickly and safely.
Our unique patented UP:SCALE growing frame system, and IN:GEAR two-speed drive system, allow you to easily transform the bike from a lightweight balance-bike, into a super-small pedal bike, then into a larger pedal bike as your child grows. The PINTO really is three bikes in one – replacing a separate balance bike, and two conventional 12” and 14” bikes.
Your child doesn’t need to ‘grow into it’ - with the Pinto, you ‘dial’ it down to fit them properly from the start, then as they grow and get stronger, the bike grows and develops with them. It fits better and lasts longer than any other kids’ bike.

The PINTO rolls on 14” wheels and is the smallest bike in the Black Mountain EPOK range and is aimed at children from around 3 years old, fitting those in the 90cm to 109cm height range, or until they are around 5 years old (depending on growth rate.) The PINTO can be ridden by taller or confident 2.5 year olds, if they are already balance biking confidently. This makes it the ideal starter bike for kids transitioning from a mini balance bike.
The PINTO really is three bikes in one – replacing a separate balance bike, and two conventional 12” and 14” bikes.
PINTO starts life as a small lightweight balance bike, which is ideal for your child to learn on. This offers them the chance to gain confidence, getting used to the bike’s geometry, brakes and riding position before they transfer to the first pedal bike mode.
When ready, you simply install the included PowerPack – our neat upgrade that brings into play the cranks, pedals and our unique lightweight, oil free drive belt, transforming the balance bike into a small pedal bike. The small frame with a short wheelbase and ‘reach’, low saddle height and easy low geared pedalling allows the PINTO in this mode to be more like a conventional 12” bike, so smaller riders can get on the bike safely and easily, and earlier than with a normal bike.
Then as your child grows in size and confidence, you simply adjust the UP:SCALE frame and IN:GEAR system to transform the PINTO into a large pedal bike, which increases the frame size and gearing by about 20%, making the most of the easy rolling 14” wheel size, and lasting your child for longer.
