I sell my 1990 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty, the highest-end model made in Japan, the serial number with the letter “G”.

These models are made with nitrocellulose finishing, original Gibson Bill-Lawrence pickups and the specifications of the Gibson Les Paul Custom from 50s.

This guitar is a “player’s grade” with excellent building quality, it is being used so it has some dings here and there, the bridge pickup frame is a little damaged but works perfectly. It has a crack in the finishing at the back of the headstock, two luthiers told me that it only affects the nitro (they even suggested to don’t do anything to it and leave it as is, that’s what I did).

It weighs exactly 4.0 Kgs (super light and without weight relief!), the neck is closer to 59 profile and it is all original except for the gold cover of the bridge pickup that was added later. Now it has whitchhats on the volume and tone knobs because I like the aesthetics better, but I include the originals which are black “speed knobs.” It comes in a very good quality padded case.

I love it and sometimes I find myself using it more than my Gibson guitars, it is surprising to see the quality of construction: comfortable, light weight, good woods, powerful sound, the Bill-Lawrence pickups are extraordinary and rare to find.
