RJD Spare Battery Holder Kit for Stacyc 12e/16eDirectly fits onto Stacyc 12e and 16e bikes. Easy mounting and no major modification.
Instead of walking around the track with a big awkward battery or carrying it in a bag when you are far from your truck just swap it and keep the ride going. I made this out of necessity for the 5 mile trail system we ride primarily and for when he rides the Stacyc at the MX track. The added battery weight is directly in the center of the bike and doesn't affect the ride by any visible amount. When the battery is removed the holder is negligible in weight (2.4oz). Printed to perfection using high quality ASA (same material as OEM plastics) this part has extreme UV, heat, weather, and impact resistance just like the RJD foot pegs.
INSTALLATION:
Required tools - Phillips head screw driver, side cutters, 7/64 drill bit (recommended)

Screws - #8 x 1/2" Phillips Head
Zip Tie - 8" long x 0.19" wide
- Place battery holder on frame and slide back until it stops against the seat tube.
- Hold in place and mark center of the 4 screw holes. The screws can be screwed directly into the plastic without predrilling but I would recommend predrilling the holes with a 7/64 bit because I am an over achiever. If you are screwing the provided screws in without predrilling you can skip the warning.
- WARNING! If predrilling holes DO NOT go deeper than the plastic cover. The ESC is beneath this cover. It has a hard shell but you can accidently drill into it. You can just be careful and go by feel or if you have a bit stop set the depth to 9mm. The covers can also be removed after marking the drill points to eliminate all risk of hitting the ESC. The provided screws will not hit the ESC when put through the battery holder so if you do not pre drill this is not a concern. Make sure the screws get a good bite and do not strip them out.
- Once holes are marked and drilled place holder back on and slide zip tie through the slot in the back then wrap it around the seat post. Tighten down zip tie and position the end where it is out of the way. Cut tail flush.
- Screw in all 4 provided screws. Tighten thoroughly but don't send them in with an impact driver. There is a limited number of threads for each one and they do hold on through wrecks and drops but not if the threads are blown out.
- Battery clicks in and slides out when release button is depressed
- After the initial install is complete reinstallation is extremely easy now that threads are established.
