The compact upgraded guide scope features 40mm aperture and 160mm focal length, ensuring great amount of light entering the scope and available to match to telescope with focal length not more than 700mm, an ideal guide scope for deep-sky objects.

Six-point Guidescope Rings for Precise Alignment

Comes with a pair of six-point guide scope rings which is with 6 large adjustment screws and knurled head, easy to grip, and adjusting and clamping screws have nylon tips, all of which benefit a flexible and precise alignment with the telescope and prevent scratches leaving on the guide scope. And there is also a screw lock on every screw, to tighten screw and avoid the guide scope being out of alignment due to a shock.

Used as a Guide Scope or a Finder Scope

The SV165 mini guide scope is also available to be used as a finder scope. With connection to a diagonal and an eyepiece, the guide scope is available for star finding.

Fully Multi-coated & Stray Light Elimination

The objective lens is fully multi-coated, resulting in bright, sharp images. The edge-blackened lens and blackened interior greatly eliminates internal light scatter and maximizes image contrast. The star guiding and star finding accuracy is greatly improved.

The aviation aluminum alloy CNC machined tube to ensure the machining accuracy, body solidity and durability. And sandblasting surface not only prevents from rust, but also benefits the easier cleaning of oil or dust.

3-stage Extension Tube

Adjustable working distance - suitable for all common auto guiders. Two T2 extension tubes and a T2-1.25” adapter with the same size thread M42*0.75 are available for some DIY usages, like attaching a diagonal and eyepiece for visual observation, etc.

Focuser Marked with Scale

The scale marked focuser is convenient to mark the focus position to improve the efficiency of repeating focusing, and the lock ring can ensure that the focuser would not move during use.

Vixen Style Mounting Base

SV165 Guide Scope comes with a standard Vixen style mounting base, easy to install and compatible with dovetail mounts. There is a 1/4 inch screw hole at the bottom of the base.
