Antique English copper bed warming pan circa 1860.  The lid features stylised engraved decoration of the Tree of Life and exotic bird in the upper foliage. Feather decoration around the outside edge of the pan and also to the edge of the lid of the pan. The pan features a Victorian repair to strengthen the body. This was done over 100 years ago. There are also two holes in the pan section that a previous owner has bored to fix the pan to the wall. The total diameter of the outsider the pan is 30 cm or just under 12 inches wide. The total length of the piece from the bottom of the pan to the end of the handle is 111 cm or just under 44 inches. The approximate depth of the pan is approximately 11 cm or 4 inches and the quarter that is from the bottom of the pan to the top of the lid .
