The all-star urban romantic comedy Fit Lover is one of the
highest grossing films to emerge from the 2008 year-end box-office war in the
Mainland market. Director Zhang Jianya had a guy meet 12 beautiful women in his
previous picture Call for Love. He now twists that premise around in this
thematic sequel, which follows the lovely but lonely Nie Bing (Golden Horse
Best Actress nominee Karena Lam) who is desperate to find a "fit
lover" before she hits 30. Nie Bing is spoiled for choice when she embarks
on a journey during which she meets 12 eligible guys, played by famous actors
including Mainland superstar Huang Xiaoming, popular Hong Kong singer Leo Ku,
Japanese actor Hosaka Naoki, and Taiwan heartthrob Alec Su. Besides so many
"eye candies", the film is also a feast for the ear, featuring nine
theme songs sung by artists like Tanya Chua, Fish Leong, Leo Ku, and Xu Wei.
