"The Lady with the Camellias" is a novel written by Alexandre Dumas Fils, who was a French author and playwright. He was the son of the famous French author Alexandre Dumas. It was first published in 1848 and rapidly gained popularity, becoming one of Dumas' most acclaimed works. The novel also became the inspiration for Giuseppe Verdi's opera "La Traviata."

This edition is not dated. However, there is an indication as to the publication date of this book, as on the front free endpaper there is a pen inscription dated ’36, and so I believe it to date to 1936 or earlier

The red faux leather-bound limp cover is intact and robust and in a good state for around 90 to 100 years old. There is just light wear, more-so at the edges and corners, and a little on the boards. There is also soft bumping to the corners and some small marks on the cover. Please see the photographs which I have provided for further reference. There is a gilt emblem on the front board and gilt lettering and decorations on the spine.

The inside of this book is in a good condition for its age. The pages are lightly tanned and are in an overall neat and clean state for their age, and predominantly uncreased. There is only the very occasional small mark or the occasional slight crease on the pages. There are no rips to the pages. Other than the afore mentioned pen inscription on the front free endpaper, there are no pen or pencil marks within this book. The pages are tightly bound and secure and there are no loose or missing pages. All 255 pages are present. Please study the photos carefully as to the condition of this book, as they do form part of the description.

This measures approximately 15.5 cm by 10.5 cm and 1.9 cm wide. It weighs approximately 215 grams.

Thank you so much for looking.
