This is an old brown salt glazed crockery ink well. About 2 3/4" tall and has a cone shape and about 2 1/8" wide at the base, and the top is about 7/8" wide.  The chip looking areas or inclusions on the edge have glazed inside, and so this was made that way before this was glazed, so considered in good condition, no cracks or chips done after this was originally made.
