A 19th Century French Architectural Plaster Bas Relief Plaque, Putti 61cm wide.

A superbly stylish French 19th century, architectural plaster bas relief featuring 2 musical putti in an arch plaque.

The arch top deep relief, neoclassical scene is a likely over-door architectural element from a French petite manoir or chateau, from the South Weat region of France.

The 61cm wide and 52cm tall plaque is in excellent structural condition, with no cracks or losses, the central figures are of a deep relief, evidence of a fine quality piece and show areas of the ochre paint or wash having rubbed off in small areas, this is not uncommon and adds to its authenticity and character.

A charming antique architectural element with a considerable decorative appeal, an interior design piece that can enhance a classic or contemporary space.
