ANTIQUE 1918 ARTS & CRAFTS HAND TOOLED ART NOUVEAU FLORAL LEATHER PURSE 

Dated to 1917/1918

Turnloc metal closure has a patina w/ few light scratches and corrosion along the leather join. The lock fastens securely.

-Whip stitching along edges of purse & handles is missing / open in a few areas (see detail photos.)

-Purse is stamped on the interior but I cannot make out the lettering. It is most similar to Meeker Made purses. But could be Bosca, Kranz of Cordova or Justin.

-Inner metal frame is stamped "Patented Oct 5, 1915, May 15, 1917. July 28, 1918"

MEASUREMENTS:

7.5" x 6.5" x 1"

TURNLOC CLOSURE: Turn dangling metal piece so that the plain design is facing you. When you hear a "click", the purse will be open. To lock, turn dangle so the carved side is facing toward you & purse will be locked. CAUTION: Forcing this lock will cause it to break.
