In 1911 they started making porcelain insulators and telegraph insulators. In 1917, August died in Munich and Weiden Gebr. was integrated with Bauscher and by 1920, they stopped insulator production to meet demands for more hotel tableware. By 1938, 98% of all their tableware was imported to the U.S. for hotels and 8 USA Railroad companies. In 1938, due to the war, all their exports to the U.S. were lost. Their factory was destroyed by bombs in 1945 and they rebuilt and continued to produce hotel ware, etc. By 1981 they were exporting to more than 120 countries worldwide and continue to succeed into the 21st century.
