Absolutely exceptional, truly one-of-a-kind, A-line, patchwork skirt handcrafted in the 1970s from various denim scraps. The woman who made this used various pieces of denim in similar weights and dark-wash tones. But there's enough variation to allow the chevron stripes of the patchwork to really stand out. You can see some places where parts of some of the denim faded slightly unevenly and there are even areas where you can see that pockets were probably removed in order to use the denim. This is an iconic piece of hippie folk art.
