For sale is my 1980 Mercedes G Wagen W460 that has a shortened Toyota Hilux Surf Body Shell and an Isuzu 3.0 Turbo Diesel Engine and Isuzu 5 Speed Manual Gearbox.

It is my Winch Challenge Truck off road project, over 10 years in the making.

The donor G Wagen had only done 66974Km (42k miles), but the body was completely rotten and not worth saving.

The donor for the Engine and Gearbox was a 2004 Isuzu NPR77 Light Truck it was a low mileage engine 73805 miles at last MOT in Sept 2011, I have the receipt from when the complete vehicle was purchased for the donor parts in 2012 at auction.

The donor body is a 2nd Generation RHD Toyota Hilux Surf KNZ130, it was a rust free Japanese import, known in the UK as a Toyota 4-Runner.

The G Wagon chassis is unmodified, it is the original length and width. It has been painted in Frosts Extreme Chassis Paint.

It has the Original Chassis VIN plate and the V5 is in my name.

If you are new to G Wagens, they leave the factory with Front, Centre and Rear Locking Differentials as standard unlike Defenders and other Civilian 4x4's. This is because the G Wagen was designed as a Military Only vehicle which was eventually offered to the Civilian Market, it is technically superior as a result and is built to a higher standard and out of significantly better materials.

I will not be splitting the vehicle for parts, there are 1000s of hours of work in it and over £12k in parts costs.

It is still road legal as no modifications have been made to the chassis.

Any inspection welcome.

Poor quality rolling chassis's that need restoration sell for over £5000, my axles are fully rebuilt and like all G Wagen parts they are hard to find and extremely expensive.

The engine and gearbox are worth another £3000.

The Mechanical Fuel Pump and Adaptor Kit cost over £1500.

The Land Rover Wolf Wheels and New Tyres are worth nearly £2000.

The Brake Calipers are brand new still in boxes, they cost over £400 each and there are 4 of them, plus the Hoses and Pads. The new Brake Pads still in their shrink wrap in their boxes, new disks were fitted to the axles.

The CV joints were imported from USA, they are guaranteed for life and cost nearly £1200 each.

The Hilux cab is in mint condition, it was purchased from a friend in Southern Europe.

It just needs the following finishing, I will add to this as I think of things :-
It comes with a pair of new Seaflow Inline Fans and industrial grade venting hose to plumb into the rear cooling ducting solution.

Its a great project which I am unable to finish due to the onset of arthritis in my hands and back.

I'd hoped to be taking it to events next year but my body isn't up to finishing it or competing not even as a passenger.

I may px but it needs to be cash my way or a straight swap.

I know people who can transport it for you once it is paid for.
