For your consideration is this antique figural centerpiece bowl produced by Sitzendorf Porcelain of Germany. It is marked with three parallel lines forming two "X" letters, one smaller than the other. According to Porcelain Marks and More, this mark, image 4-05, was used between 1900 until 1902. Additionally, the bowl is numbered "M-363". The beautiful bowl is adorned with two putti cherubs perched atop, one atop some cabbage leaves, with applied rose flowers and buds. I did observe some chips on the flowers, typical damage incurred for items of this type (photos #8 - #10). Additionally observed were three little rubbings on the backside - this may be a manufacturing defect as it looks as if the bowl was against something during the curing process (photo #11). The bowl has gold gilt accents and abstract details. The bowl measures approximately 7 inches long x 5.5 inches wide x 6.25 inches tall. What a beautiful piece of antique porcelain to add to your tablescapes.
