For your consideration is this beautiful tan or peach lusterware salad / snack plate made in Japan most likely during the 1920s to 1930s. It is marked on the bottom "Made in Japan" in black. In Carole Bess White's book series Made In Japan Ceramics, this mark was not specific to any one particular company as it was a common mark used by nearly all ceramic companies in Japan at that time. I call this set "Sweetheart Flowers" for the lovely hand painted floral motif inside of a heart. The plate measures 7.25 inches in diameter x 0.7 inches in height. I did observe a tiny fleabite on the bottom rim of the plate and some abrasions. For this reason, I have discounted the piece. It is perfect for a Valentine's Day or Anniversary Tablescape.
