For your consideration is this beautiful tan or peach lusterware lidded sugar dish made in Japan most likely during the 1920s through 1930s. This set includes a sugar dish with lid. It is marked on the bottom "Made in Japan" in black. In Carole Bess White's book series Made In Japan Ceramics, this mark was not specific to any one particular company as it was a common mark used by nearly all ceramic companies in Japan at that time. I call this pattern "Sweetheart Flowers" for the lovely hand painted floral motif inside of a heart. The piece measures 3.9 inches in diameter x 4.5 inches high (with the lid). This piece is in good overall condition with no chips or cracks observed. There is just a tiny amount of luster loss on the top of each handle, otherwise, the finish is still crisp and clean. This would be an absolute addition to your Valentine's Day tablescape.
