DESCRIPTION-  Offered here is an original 1:12 Scale Miniature Stoneware 16 piece Dinner Set in a Bird on Branch pattern by Jane Graber.  We sold a very similar set recently.  There are 4 plates, 4 saucers (which were never sold separately that I know of but only came in these sets or with tea sets), 4 small bowls, & 4 cups. Each piece was hand thrown on a full-size pottery wheel, dried, fired at low temp, then painted by hand by Jane, then glazed, & fired again.  She no longer does shows so her pieces are even more highly prized & only a small number of these sets were made each year & in different patterns. 

MAKER- Jane Graber, is a member of the IMGA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans), & has made miniature replicas of 18th and 19th-century American salt-glaze stoneware for more than 40 years since 1981, hand-throwing each piece on a potter's wheel, then painting and signing her work. She is internationally recognized for her craft, has been featured on the cover of Ceramics Monthly & in many other magazines, and regularly did solo and group shows in the U.S. and England until retiring from shows last year. Her work is extraordinary; she is widely recognized as the best living miniaturist potter & without question is definitely the best in terms of stoneware & redware.
