Hand Knitted and Crocheted Edge White Baby Shawl

A lovely white shawl, I never asked the maker if it was acrylic or pure wool but my eyes looking at the knitting looks like wool  However, when I look at the edging it looks acrylic.  Either was it washes well, no matting etc.
