Antique Top Quality Complete Set Of 6 Cased Solid Sterling Silver Cupid Art Nouveau Buttons. 

Here’s a fabulous bit of quality solid silver work, made by one of London's oldest and important Goldsmiths &  silversmiths 

Spink & Son London, Established 1666. 

Hand crafted at the start of the last century, these stunning buttons feature Cupid, the son of Venus and the God of Love ‘Amour’ in Latin & ‘Eros’ in Greek. 

Cupid is in the centre of the button with his bow and arrow, surrounded by stylised floral curves and a geometric design. 

The buttons are solid sterling silver, very substantial with combined weight for the six buttons of 

40.9 grams of Solid Sterling Silver.

Spink & Son who are renowned for medal, coin makers and minters, had the expertise to make such beautiful pieces.

These Buttons are fully marked to the reverse with “Spink & Son London” and Sterling Silver.

Each button is in superb condition with only the slightest signs of age and use, (Please check out the photos ).

The buttons complete with an antique fitted Brown Leatherette case which is in excellent condition, opens & closes as it should and looks rather smart in a faux crocodile skin leatherette print.
