For sale is a small bowl by McCoy pottery in aqua blue with an embossed exterior. The design on the low bowl features eight alternating sections of designs that look like reeds and feathers or an abstract wheat motif. The glaze on this piece breaks over the lip and high exterior edges and has a light tone-on-tone drip look on the interior. The 1953 date is based on a pink version bowl included in "The Collectors Encyclopedia of McCoy," Susan & Bob Huxford, (Collector Books, Updated Value Edition, 1993; page 212 & 213, Row 2, first item).

This piece is in very good condition with no damage and no visible wear. It has heavy crazing overall (photograph 10). The bowl has a glaze popon exterior rim (photograph 11), with additional pops and pimples visible overall (photograph 12). Marked McCoy on reverse (Huxford mark number 7). Made in the USA.
