This hat box was found with bags of clothing from the 1950s to 90s in the attic of a home being renovated. The box has no label so the only clue as to time period it was manufactured is the Swift Zipper on the box. The Swift Zipper Corporation was incorporated on June 24, 1946 and dissolved on October 28, 2009. 

The box appears to be heavy cardboard covered in a plastic or vinyl. The box has a sturdy plastic handle with chunky metal holders that anchor it into the top of the box. The stitching on the outside of the box is frayed or missing in several places plus there is quite a bit of staining/discoloration on the outside. The inside of the box is lined with plastic and is in good condition with no stains or tears. There is a wooden peg attached to the bottom of the box. The box is 13 inches tall and has a diameter of 13 inches.
