The Strand magazine, Vol. I January to June. A bound volume of the first six magazines featuring a short story by Conan Doyle,  the inventor of Sherlock Holmes. The detective does not appear in this story. The first by Conan Doyle? Very clean copy with dark blue linen cover. The cover is a bit dull but is of the period. No foxing but very slight browning of the front and end papers. An interesting story on opium dens, the Siege of Paris, Story by Pushkin, etc.
