Electric Window Switch 1967 68 Lotus Elan PlusTwo +2 Mk10 Jaguar

Here we have a proper original electric window switch from an early Lotus Elan Plus Two with fabulous original chrome.

These were used only on the Pre-S cars made before (circa) 1969.

If you zoom in on the photos you will clearly see the part numbers as well as the date of manufacture.

It is unusual to find these with the chrome in such exceptional condition. Preservation undoubtedly assisted by upwards of 35 years sitting in my "keep this on one side" store

This is surely suitable for a car with concours potential.

These days (with any luck) Lotus (and Jaguar) restorers are trying to get the detail right and reinstalling the correct dash arrangements in early cars which have previously been “updated” (butchered) by ill informed bodgers.

Please study the photographs which form an integral part of the description. These show the item from all angles. If you think I’ve missed something I’m happy to answer questions.

I will be clearing my garage over the coming months of an accumulation of rare parts gathered over a lifetime with classics. There are surplus parts for Jaguar – generally E-Type or XK 150 but also some for Mk2 and XJS. There will be a selection of rare Lotus and Coventry Climax parts from 1950’s and 1960’sincluding an Albatross Climax speedboat and associated spares, so if you happen to be restoring The Royal Yacht Britannia and you need the correct tender, this is the place! There are even some new original wings for Swallow Doretti as well as specialist restoration equipment, not least an original cast Ranalah Wheeling Machine otherwise known as an English Wheel (with recent new anvils/wheels). – If any of that is of interest to you keep an eye open for my other items.

Postage - or Collection Option:

I’m happy to post anywhere as long as you pay the postage costs. Bear in mind that this auction site adds commission to postal charges which I need to recover. My objective is to break even on postage with no charge for packing.

For post within UK I generally use the Post Office “UK Tracked” service which includes insurance cover for items up to £150.

For items of greater value Post Office “UK Guaranteed” (Special Delivery) is suggested.

Larger items may require other carrier services.

The use of services where insurance value does not match Item value will be at customers own risk.

Overseas bidders are welcome, in which case they should be aware that the buyer is responsible for import duties

For Overseas sales I use Post Office “International Tracked and Signed” Services, where possible, which includes insurance where appropriate up to £250. I am obliged to add auction site commission which they add to postage. My objective is to break even on postage with no charge for packing.

If I post the item the cost will be as follows:
